Elegantly composed in three distinct layers, this landscape unfolds through a sky crowned with billowing clouds, rolling lavender hills, and radiant yellow fields dotted with delicate white trees. Ronnie Ford's remarkable ability to capture the movement and volume of clouds is so convincing that one can almost feel them drifting overhead. The deep violet hues evoke a sense of calm and contemplation, while the vibrant yellows infuse the scene with warmth and vitality. A charming signature of Ford's work lies in the two cypress trees, symbolising himself and his wife - standing side by side, together forever, never apart.
About the artist
Ronnie Ford was born in Dunoon, Scotland and studied at the Glasgow School of Art. He is a full-time professional artist who launched his career with sell-out shows in Hong Kong and London. He has built a strong international presence with successful group and solo shows in Europe, Hong Kong, Singapore and the USA.
Ronnie's work is in private, public and corporate collections worldwide, including the French Consulate, Hong Kong, Bank of South Australia, Strathclyde University, NHS Scotland. His work has appeared on television several times, was used as a major component of an MTV music video by Canto-pop and film star, Sammi Cheng and has won multiple awards.
