About the artwork

Out of the many beautiful landscapes Ronnie Ford has created, this work captures the rolling hills of Italy at twilight. A lone star glistens in the deepening sky, lending the scene an ethereal sense of serenity. As though carried by the gentle fragrance of blooming iris, the olive groves sway beneath the warm embrace of autumn breezes. The striking contrast between the rich blues of the sky and the glowing oranges of the countryside draws the viewer into the composition, while the distant hills add depth and quiet grandeur. It is a landscape that radiates warmth, peace, and timeless beauty.

About the artist

Ronnie Ford was born in Dunoon, Scotland and studied at the Glasgow School of Art. He is a full-time professional artist who launched his career with sell-out shows in Hong Kong and London. He has built a strong international presence with successful group and solo shows in Europe, Hong Kong, Singapore and the USA. Ronnie's work is in private, public and corporate collections worldwide, including the French Consulate, Hong Kong, Bank of South Australia, Strathclyde University, NHS Scotland. His work has appeared on television several times, was used as a major component of an MTV music video by Canto-pop and film star, Sammi Cheng and has won multiple awards.
