About the artwork

The tender relationship between man and animal is depicted in this heartwarming sculpture by Wu Qiong. The work features the artist’s signature child-like figure who displays an innocent and peaceful expression on his face. The figure is shown hugging a llama that he is climbing onto, depending on the animal for security and stability, while the animal’s form shows its strength as it is firmly rooted to the ground. Through this charming work, Wu Qiong illustrates how man and animal can support each other, and displays a whimsical style that has made his art beloved by collectors around the world.
