About the artwork
From vacant eyes to languid body, Dou Rong Jun once again displays absolute command over his figurative representation, accentuating the numb detachment of his subject by withholding colour. With expressionist brushstrokes that mimic the emotion held within the subject's composition, 'Float' is a delicately hewn portrait of despaired vacancy.
