About the artwork

The tender relationship between man and animal is depicted in this heartwarming sculpture by Wu Qiong. The work features the artist’s signature child-like figure who displays an innocent and peaceful expression on his face. The figure is shown hugging a llama that he is climbing onto, depending on the animal for security and stability, while the animal’s form shows its strength as it is firmly rooted to the ground.
