About the artwork
"The jungle of imagine" by Suardana Kacor (120 x 120 cm, 2024) is a whimsical yet thought-provoking tableau. This acrylic on canvas piece presents a large, vibrantly colored shopping cart brimming with an unexpected collection of wildlife and exotic flora. Rhinos, sea turtles, pangolins, and a macaw share space with fantastical plants like the Rafflesia flower, all rendered with Kacor's meticulous, textured detail. The seemingly incongruous pairing of nature's wonders with a symbol of consumerism invites reflection on environmental stewardship and humanity's impact. The artwork's playful execution belies a deeper commentary, encouraging viewers to ponder the preciousness of our natural heritage within a contemporary context.
