About the artwork

In "Fruitful Crops," Lim Tze Peng presents a vibrant, abstract interpretation of the Singapore River, capturing the lively essence of life along its banks. The artwork is a burst of vivid colors woven into a captivating composition that mirrors the bustling presence of bumboats on a lively day. Bold strokes and dynamic shapes infuse the scene with energy and movement, transforming the familiar river landscape into a rich tapestry of activity. Stylized bumboats float amidst swirling colours, blending harmoniously with the flowing river, suggesting a seamless connection between the waterway and the vibrant life it nurtures. In the background, abstract depictions of shophouses provide depth and context.
