Everyday Life, 2022
Silkscreen and Media Media on Brick Panel, 66 x 66 cm
USD 31,600 – 39,500
About the artwork
A chimp perched atop a Coca-Cola cooler, clutching brushes and spray cans, becomes an unlikely muse—cheeky, irreverent, and profoundly symbolic. It’s a whimsical yet biting reflection on culture, consumerism, and creativity itself. The choice of brick panel as a canvas is both bold and poetic. It roots the artwork in the grit of the city—the living, breathing streets where graffiti was born. This is no sterile white wall; it’s a fragment of the urban soul, brought into the gallery with its stories intact. The roughness of the mortar, the weathered brick faces, and their imperfections do more than support the imagery—they speak with it, offering a visceral contrast to the polished colors above. The result is a work that doesn’t just depict rebellion and energy—it embodies it.
