About the artwork
Eric Chomis' "Summer Swift" is a vibrant burst of color and form, capturing the fleeting energy of a summer day. The sculpture, comprised of interconnected, ribbon-like shapes, seems to dance and swirl in space, evoking a sense of lightness and movement. The bold, contrasting colors – warm yellows, reds, and purples – create a visually arresting composition, reminiscent of summer's vibrant palette. The interplay of solid forms and open spaces adds a dynamic quality, suggesting a sense of playful exploration. Chomis' use of clean lines and simplified shapes imbues the sculpture with a contemporary, almost graphic aesthetic. "Summer Swift" is a celebration of summer's ephemeral beauty, a visual representation of the season's joyful, carefree spirit.
