About the artwork
The earthy tones of the market, filled with bustling life, evokes feelings of warmth, community, and cultural richness. In contrast, the cooler skies introduce a sense of calm and contemplation, grounding the frenetic energy of the marketplace beneath. This can symbolize the duality of urban life—where the warmth of community thrives even under the vast, sometimes impersonal sky. It beautifully encapsulates the spirit of Chinatown, a place where the warmth of human connection shines brightly against the backdrop of a constantly changing world.
