About the artwork

Eva Amirsen's "Pajaros (Birds)" presents a dreamlike encounter between human and avian realms. A delicate bird, rendered with intricate detail, descends from the dark expanse above, its form contrasting sharply against the inky background. Below, a simplified human face with closed eyes gazes upwards, seemingly in a state of tranquil reverie. The artwork's stark monochrome palette emphasizes the ethereal quality of the scene, creating a sense of quiet contemplation. The bird's descent may symbolize freedom, inspiration, or a connection to the natural world, while the human face suggests a receptive state of mind, open to the messages conveyed by the bird. Amirsen's use of contrasting textures and forms imbues the artwork with a sense of quiet poetry, inviting viewers to ponder the delicate balance between inner and outer worlds.
