About the artwork
Dedy Sufriadi's "Bird Master" explodes with a raw, primal energy, a chaotic yet captivating tapestry of figures and symbols. The artist's distinctive, childlike style belies a complex layering of imagery, where human and animal forms merge with abstract scribbles and cryptic text. Bold, saturated colors clash and harmonize, creating a visually arresting and emotionally charged composition. The central figure, a human-like form with a haunting gaze, anchors the chaotic scene, while surrounding figures, some with animalistic features, suggest a dreamlike narrative. The cryptic text fragments scattered throughout the canvas add a layer of mystery, inviting viewers to decipher their meaning and construct their own interpretations of this enigmatic world. "Bird Master" is a visceral and evocative exploration of the subconscious, where the boundaries between reality and imagination blur.

Strong compositions of entangled words and symbols, Dedy Sufriadi’s
paintings are powerful both in terms of visuals and meaning. Through his abstract
paintings, the artist explores the borders between discipline, words and
imagery. Refusing to be bound by a particular discipline, a unique hybrid
artistic language is used by the artist to evolve his subject matter more
freely. Creating images that are worth a thousand words and employing words
that are worth a thousand images, his pieces are striking in their directness
and honesty - leaving a memorable impact on all who view them.
