Ode to Art presents: Stefan Buana - Face to Peace

Ode to Art is pleased to present a solo exhibition for a rising star in the Indonesian arts scene - Stefan Buana, titled Face to Peace. An intrepid explorer when it comes to the use of materials to create texture, the unique artworks of Stefan Buana consist of string, torched metal and even rice grains. Depicting the smiling faces of communities as well as portraits of familiar icons from Jokowi to Obama, this experimental artist makes both social and political statements in his abstract works . He has held numerous solo and group exhibitions in Yogyakarta, Bali and Jakarta and was the recipient of the Phillip Morris Art Award in 2003.
