About the artwork
Vegetable grocers displayed in beautiful order as illustrated. It is the old Singapore where selling fresh produce is a staple to sustain survival. Figures from young to old could demonstrate the importance of family in participating in the business of selling, hence Sim has incorporated Chinese ink to pay homage to traditions and ideal family values.
