In this work, Doraemon’s back is portrayed as he waves. Within his figure, he and friends are flying in the sky, with the bottom outlined by Murakami’s signature flower motif. In this series of Doraemon works by Murakami, characters are always happy and the scene, jovial. Following his tendency to create works inspired by pop-culture, Murakami brings a well-loved childhood figure into our modern lives once again.
