About the artwork
In this work, Ren paints a portrait of Mr. Bean, a fictional character popularized by Rowan Atkinson in the lovable British Sitcom of the same title. Ren created this painting as a tribute to the character and his significant influence on popular culture, that still remains today. Ren’s unique artistic style that incorporates vivid colours complements the eccentric and hilarious character of Mr. Bean, capturing his personality in a new form of portraiture. Viewers of all age groups love this goofy figure despite him being fictional, demonstrating how he has equal charismatic appeal to that of the valued political leaders and artists Ren typically depicts.
