Sai Yeung Choi Street South is located in the Mong Kok district in Hong Kong. Typically thronged with people, the street itself has a high concentration of electronic shops that are packed together in a small space. As a visitor to Hong Kong, one is normally focused on navigating the crowded streets - but Hong Sek Chern reminds us to look up at the structures that play host to the hundreds of shops and bear the neon signages that advertise all manner of brands. By focusing on form and removing the masses, the street is presented in a new light and one begins to appreciate the glass towers clustered together and their architectural features.
