About the artwork
Differing greatly from his usual landscape painting, Ronnie Ford takes a new approach to the genre. Natural scenery is framed by a traditional colonial-era windows, but brought to the forefront in a tamed form, flowers in a vase, as compared to his typical sprawling depictions of nature. He banishes iconic features of the Singaporean landscape to the periphery, the Marina Bay Sands and the ArtScience museum becoming mere specks in the background.
