About the artwork

Eva Armisen’s painting features a family standing in a field and embracing each other. The contrasting intense red colour of the mother’s top and the cool blue of the father’s shirt instantly capture the viewer’s attention, as well as their son’s shirt with numerous space related motifs. These eye-catching patterns differ from the tranquil and unblemished greenery in the background, yet they bring energy and vibrancy to the scene depicted. The family is painted in Armisen’s trademark child-like style and have sweet smiles on their faces, emphasising the sense of content and joyousness that is conveyed through the painting. Eva Armisen’s artworks often touch on subjects such as family, love and togetherness, to remind us to treasure the moments with our loved ones, and these themes are evident in her charming work.
