About the artwork
Ronnie Ford encourages the view to enter into a state of contemplation with this work. The waters and trees in this painting are not just animate objects that collectively present a conventional beauty that can easily be overlooked; instead, they reflect astonishingly human qualities and emotions such as joy, contentment, sorrow and anticipation. Hence, Reflective Moment can be perceived as magnificent projection of the modern desire to flee from the cacophony of everyday life into the calm, vast, meditative spaces of the natural world.
