About the artwork

This charming sculpture depicts a young girl hugging a llama and comfortably sleeping on its back, an innocent and peaceful expression on her face. Her resting posture shows her trust, as she seems to be depending on the animal for security and stability. The animal supports her effortlessly and even seems to show a faint grin. His fur, made of actual wool, brings the girl warmth and comfort, and he seems ready to take her on a journey through cold and hardships.Through this heartwarming work, Wu Qiong illustrates the importance of friendship, no matter what form it takes, and displays a whimsical style that has made his art beloved by collectors around the world.
